Apollo 17: The Last Time Humans Walked on the Moon

December 11, 1972, marked humanity’s last journey to the moon with the historic Apollo 17 mission. Led by astronauts Eugene Cernan, Harrison Schmitt, and Ronald Evans, this mission was the final chapter in NASA’s Apollo program for crewed lunar landings. Commander Cernan, who became the last person to step off the lunar surface, left us with a powerful message: ‘We leave as we came, and, God willing, as we shall return, with peace and hope for all mankind.’

Apollo 17 provided groundbreaking insights into the moon and expanded our understanding of space exploration.
